Today (Friday 13 March), all eyes will be on the Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase. This Class 1 race is open to horses aged five years or older and will feature 18 runners in 2015. The victorious horse will win £313,225 for their owner.
Running at 15:20, the going is expected to be good. And to help you decide which horse to back, we have checked out Sky Sports’ horse racing naps of the day.
For all of the success from Irish horses at Cheltenham 2015, Sky Sports has the French-bred Silviniaco Conti pegged as the favourite at 10/3. Compared to the entire field, Silviniaco Conti has the highest official rating with 174.
However, don’t count out the Irish. Djakadam is a French horse trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by jockey Ruby Walsh. The six-year-old horse has an official of 145 and can offer odds of 8/1. Mullins and Walsh have already had a great week at Cheltenham.
