Frankie Dettori stole the headlines by riding 13/8 favourite Golden Horn to snatch the 16:30 Investec Derby. Blue Surf then won at extremely long odds of 20/1 in the 17:15 Handicap, with Asphan Sam winning at 9/2 in the 17:50 Handicap.
