Valencia Struggle Against Athletic Bilbao

Thursday 9 April was relatively quiet for yesterday match results, but thankfully there was some action over in Spain. Valencia travelled to Athletic Bilbao for a La Liga clash that could have helped them close the gap on third-placed Atlético Madrid.

All looked well for Valencia when they scored through Rodrigo de Paul in the 61st minute, but trouble lay ahead in the form of a straight red card for Valencia captain and central defender Nicolás Otamendi. Without the effective Argentinian, Valencia conceded a late equaliser in the 89th minute from Artiz Arduiz to finish 1-1.

Elsewhere on Thursday night, Elche lost 1-0 at home to Getafe. However, the most shocking result came when sixth-placed Villarreal lost 3-0 at home to Espanyol, who started the game in the bottom half of La Liga. At the top of the table, Barcelona hold a four-point lead over Real Madrid.

Grand National 2015 Racing Tips – 11 April 2015

Today is the day when millions will be treated to another running of the world’s most famous horse race. Time is slowly slipping away ahead of some tough Grand National betting decisions. To help out, we have taken a look at Grand National 2015 horse racing naps courtesy of Sky Sports.

Shutthefrontdoor has been identified as the clear favourite at 7/1, but that is mostly because the jockey-trainer combination of A P McCoy and Jonjo O’Neill are behind the horse.

Rocky Creek and Balthazar King are then level on 9/1, ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies and Richard Johnson, respectively. Further behind, though, is the intriguing The Druids Nephew at 14/1, a winner from Cheltenham last month.

The Grand National is incredibly difficult to win on, so betting each way makes the most sense. Punters will be dismayed by another outsider victory like Auroras Encore at 66/1 last year.
