Chelsea Beat Man Utd in Weekend Results – 18-19 April 2015

Man Utd had been drawing widespread praise for beating Tottenham, Liverpool, and Man City, respectively, in recent games. Consequently, that led many to question if Man Utd could step up to hand Chelsea a defeat at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League football results from yesterday (Saturday 18 April).

In a clash that pitted José Mourinho against mentor Louis van Gaal, it was the former who managed to win the game with a 1-0 victory. The excellent Eden Hazard scored with a close finish past David de Gea in the 38th minute, with Oscar providing an assist after making an incredible back heel to set up the goal.

On another day, it would have been Man Utd that won. Chelsea surrendered 70% of possession and gave up 15 attempts on goal. Man Utd visibly lacked Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, and Marcos Rojo, all of whom were injured.

Stratford Horse Racing Results – 19 April 2015

Stratford-upon-Avon is famous for being the birthplace of legendary playwright William Shakespeare, but the town is also home to a spectacular racecourse. At that racecourse, there were plenty of thrilling UK horse racing results yesterday (19 April).

On a day when the going was good, Guard of Honour astounded punters with an epic 16/1 victory in the 14:00 Novices Handicap Hurdle. That result was followed with a 4/1 win for Narcissist in the 14:30 Novices Limited Handicap Chase.

One Term then claimed the 15:00 Handicap Chase at 13/2, after which Molly Malone won the 15:30 Handicap Chase at 4/1. But that would be the end of outsider victories, with three-straight favourites winning the final races.

Bon Chic rode to victory at 2/1 in the 16:00 Mares Handicap Hurdle, with Tugboat steaming in to win the 16:30 Hunters Chase. Carnigli finished things off with a 4/5 win in the 17:00 Novices Hurdle.

Ludlow Horse Racing Preview – 21 April 2015

Shropshire is the charming county that is home to Ludlow Racecourse, where a fine selection of trainers and jockeys will gather today (Tuesday 21 April) for another fascinating meet. The condition of the turf surface is expected to be as follows: the going should be good, good to firm in places.

From the seven races, our focus is on the 14:40 Handicap Chase. Sky Sports has identified a couple of interesting horses in today’s racing tips. Guiding George is drawing interest as the 10/3 favourite. The Irish horse is aged seven and is looked after by trainer Dan Skelton and will be ridden by relation Harry Skelton.

Of course, there is no guarantee that Guiding George will win from the field of 11. That is why Aerial looks like an enticing prospect at 5/1, as the talented, young jockey Sam Twiston-Davies rides the horse.
