Arsenal Slump to 1-0 Swansea Defeat

Arsène Wenger was left cursing the heavily defensive tactics of Swansea City after unexpectedly losing 1-0 at home in the UK football results last night (Monday 11 May). Arsenal been within three points of drawing level with second-placed Man City, and would have had a game in hand.

Arsenal have exhibited magnificent form since February, but they were unable to close the gap on Chelsea side that simply haven’t been slipping up. An inability to close ground on Chelsea left Wenger and his players eager to at least finish ahead of last year’s Premier League champions, Man City.

Although Wenger complained about the negative tactics of Swansea, it must not be overlooked that Arsenal held 68% of possession. From that possession, the Gunners created 23 total attempts on goal, hitting the target on nine occasions. They only have their own poor finishing to blame for not winning the game.

Doncaster Racecourse Results – 11 May 2015

Doncaster horse racing fans were treated to fine and dry weather to start the week (Monday 11 May). After the going began as soft, this soon changed to good to soft after the third race of the day.

Magic Circle won as favourite at 3/1 in the first of these UK horse racing results, which was the 14:10 Handicap. Grand Liaison (5/1) then prevented favourite Nimble Kimble (4/1F) from winning the 14:40 Fillies Handicap.

Punters were again disappointed when the highly favoured Alkawn (6/4F) lost out to Keystroke (9/2) in the 15:15 Maiden Stakes. Mustaaqeem then restored faith in the favourites by winning the 15:50 Maiden Stakes at 11/10F.

Twin Appeal would claim the 16:25 at 11/1 before Critical Risk snatched victory at 13/2 in the 17:00 Handicap. Rocco’s Delight then emerged as winner at 9/1 in the 17:30. Three Gracez would have the final hurrah by winning the 18:05 at 5/4F.

York Horse Racing Naps – 13 May 2015

A couple of eye-catching £100k prize pools are up for grabs at York Racecourse, creating the need for sound horse racing naps in today’s action (Wednesday 13 May). For today’s tips, we look once again to Sky Sports.

The 15:15 Duke of York Clipper Logistics Stakes will see Jamie Spencer, Kieran Fallon, and Frankie Dettori do battle to win this £110,000 race. However, it is Jamie Spencer on favourite Astaire at 9/2 that is drawing the most interest.

From the 14 remaining three-year-olds, it is Muthmir and Naadirr that look the most promising. Both horses have been given equal odds of 5/1.

Immediately following is the £100,000 Tattersalls Musidora Stakes. Only five horses will compete in this race for three-year-olds.

The Frankie Dettori-ridden Star Of Seville is the favourite at 10/11, while Together Forever is second favourite at 6/4. The AP O’Brien-trained horse has won three from its past four.
