Argentina are level with Paraguay in Group B of the 2015 Copa America after edging past Uruguay with a narrow 1-0 victory. Uruguay are now in third on four points, while Argentina are on four points.
Tuesday (16 June) saw Argentina come against encounter a Uruguay first XI that was devoid of star player Luis Suárez. And although Argentina had the clear advantage, they struggled to score.
Argentina played extremely well in controlling 69% of possession, but they could only score once from their seven shots on target. And that goal came courtesy of Sergio Agüero, who scored from a cross by Man City teammate Pablo Zabaleta.
The Copa America provided just one result in terms of yesterday match results, but there are still many more games to come. For instance, Brazil v Colombia late on Thursday night promises to be a tantalising affair, with the latter desperate to earn their first points of the tournament.
