The weather has not held up north of the border, where Scottish race-goers were forced to endure an overcast day at Ayr Racecourse. However, the going was good and there were some fascinating outcomes in the UK horse racing results yesterday in Ayr.

Goninodaethat won next as 3/1 joint-favourite in the 15:05 Handicap, which was followed by a sterling victory for 12/1 outsider Personal Touch in the 15:35 Handicap. Elusive Gent then won the 16:05 as 11/8 favourite.

Braes Of Lochalsh won at 11/1 to claim the 16:35 Handicap at the expense of 3/1 favourite Eilean Mor. My Name Is Rio then managed to win the 17:05 Handicap as 9/4 favourite, with Jay Kay closing the afternoon by winning the 17:35 at 12/1.
