An evening schedule of races has been scheduled for Chelmsford City tonight (Tuesday 19 May), where highly successful Irish jockey Ruby Walsh will make a solitary appearance in the 18:50 Handicap. A modest prize fund of £4,500 has been stumped up, with the going standard on the Polytrack surface.
Walsh will ride an Irish eight-year-old called Odd Ball, which makes complete sense when you see the horse’s atrocious form. At best, Odd Ball (25/1) has managed a single sixth-place finish in 11 races. Basically, we need to look elsewhere for your horse racing nap of the day.
Sky Sports considers Calitxo to be a much finer prospect at 4/1, but it will not be easy to triumph in a race with 10 runners. Calitxo has two top-three finishes in three races. The Happy Hammer has been made second favourite at 9/2, with Little Indian at 5/1.
