Cheltenham Festival Results – Day Three

The UK horseracing results and payouts were particularly notable during day three (12 March) of the 2015 Cheltenham Festival. In all, there were six races held during the afternoon and into the early evening. The weather conditions were cloudy while the going was generally good.

The Golden Miller Novices Chase is the first of the two races we will recap here. That 13:30 race marked yet another victory for the ultra successful jockey-trainer duo of Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins, with favourite Vautour (6/4) dominating at the end of the race to win by an enormous margin.

Up next in our recap is the 14:40 Festival Trophy Chase, which featured a group of 14 runners. The main story from this race is that legendary jockey AP McCoy had a fitting send-off in riding Uxizandre to win at odds of 16/1. Ma Filleule (5/1) finished several lengths behind in second.
