Most eyes in League 1 are admittedly on leaders Bristol City, but that would have been a mistake on a goal-packed night of action on Tuesday 24 March. From yesterday’s matches, there were seven goals scored in just two games.
The first of the games featured Sheffield Utd, a side that used to be in the Premier League many years ago. The blades asserted their dominance with an eye-opening 4-0 victory over Scunthorpe, who had to cope with a sending off.
Oldham lined up at home against Rochdale for second of Tuesday night’s games. Another home win was the result, with Oldham comfortably taking three points with a 3-0 score.
Sheffield Utd closed the gap behind MK Dons to eight points, with the Blades currently fifth in the promotion places. Meanwhile, Oldham were able to climb into 11th place. That leaves them ahead of Chesterfield and Bradford.
