Two £10,000 races have been arranged as part of the wider schedule on the Epsom Downs this Thursday evening, which will help to draw a healthy crowd to take in the action. Horse racing naps for today come courtesy of Sky Sports.
The going is expected to be good (good to firm in places) for the 19:50 Ashtead Handicap, which will feature only six runners. Picking the outright winner is the focus here, and Marmot is a fine prospect at 15/8, having won two of its last four races.
Coming straight after is the 20:20 Arthur Budgett Memorial Handicap, but there will be a larger field of eight runners for this race. At present, Sky Sports has Denzille Lane pegged as favourite at 3/1. That is due to the three-year-old’s incredible form of late, winning twice and coming second in its last three races.
