The final day of Champions League results have led to two more teams departing the competition. Wednesday 18 March 2015 will live painfully in the memories of the Man City team, having lost 1-0 in the second leg of their knockout tie against Barcelona.

After beating Man City 2-1 at the Etihad, Barcelona put the tie beyond to doubt with a 1-0 win courtesy of an Ivan Rakitić lob. Sergio Agüero could have pulled a goal back if he had managed to score his penalty. The inquest begins now for Man City.

In the other Champions League football results from yesterday, Juventus secured their place in the quarterfinals of the competition by trouncing Borussia Dortmund 3-0 away. Having won 2-1 in the first leg, Juventus secured a 5-1 aggregate victory. Goals last night came from Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez, the latter of whom scored twice.
