Fine conditions greeted the crowd who attended Newmarket on Thursday in search of rewarding UK horse racing results and payouts. For the most part, the going was good to firm (good in places).
Kurland came up big-time by winning at long odds of 8/1 in the 13:45 Maiden Fillies Stakes. Winter House kept the favourite at bay again in the 14:20 Wood Ditton Stakes by winning at 9/2.
Cape Clear Island then seized the honour of longest odds winner at 14/1 in the 14:55 3-Y-O Trophy. Astaire would win the next race (15:30 Abernant Stakes) at 9/2.
Kool Company would deliver another lucrative outsider winner at 14/1 in the 16:05 Craven Stakes. French Navy then won as the first and only favourite of the day at 3/1 in the 16:40 Stud Book Earl of Sefton Stakes.
Ceaseless won the penultimate 17:10 Maiden Fillies Stakes at 6/1, with Dissolution claiming the 17:40 Mandarin at 4/1.
