Outsiders Dominate Wolverhampton Races – 23 March 2015

Monday 23 March saw a number of outsiders defy the odds to win races at Wolverhampton Racecourse, only one favourite winning one of eight races, and that was Sammy’s Warrior in the 17:10 Maiden Auction Stakes at 11/10.

Although the weather was overcast, the going was standard. And in the first race of the day, Waterloo Dock at 14/1 defied the highly favoured 9/4 Sleet to win the first of these UK horse racing results yesterday.

Another worthy winner for odds was Al Muheer at 13/2 in the 15:40 Selling Stakes. Patrick Vaughan managed to ride Al Muheer to victory over evens favourite Manipulation in second.

Last of all, Versus Delicia gave us yet another thrilling outsider victory at 14/1 in the 17:40 Fillies Handicap. Jockey Luke Morris will be delighted by his winning ride over favourite horse Fab Lolly at 6/4. Meanwhile, Poetic Choice aptly rounded out the finishers at 10/1 for an each-way payout.
