Barcelona’s Champions League victory has brought the main European club season to an end, but there is still plenty of football to enjoy over the next few weeks. At present, there are international friendlies ahead of this weekend’s Euro 2016 Qualifying matches.
From the football results last night (Monday 8 June), Turkey stole the headlines by dominating Bulgaria with a convincing 4-0 victory. Turkey are currently fourth in Group A, so that win will give them confidence ahead of an away trip to Kazakhstan on Friday.
Denmark managed a less convincing win of 2-1 when playing Montenegro in Copenhagen. The Danes hold second in Group I and will face a potentially tricky home encounter with Serbia on Saturday.
Even the presence of infamous striker Zlatan Ibrahimović was not enough to help Sweden overcome Norway in a 0-0 away draw. Sweden are second in Group G and will play at home against Montenegro on Sunday.
