Kempton Horse Racing Results – 4 May 2015

Kempton Park was a bright and sunny 17c on Monday afternoon, giving spectators a fantastic May Day to savour. The outstanding conditions ensured that the going was good across the track.

Rock N Rhythm started the day by winning the 13:30 Novices Hurdle as favourite at 4/5. Art Mauresque made it two-in-a-row for the favourites by winning the 14:00 Novices Chase at 11/10. West Wizard then completed the trifecta by triumphing as 4/6 favourite in the 14:35 Novices Hurdle.

The pattern of favourites would soon be broken, however. In the 15:10 Handicap Chase, Champion Court emerged as the victor at 9/2. Urcalin then claimed the 15:45 Handicap Hurdle at 7/1.

Claret Cloak took spectators into the final stretch of UK horse racing results yesterday by winning the 16:20 Handicap Chase at 9/2. Mr Lando kept the favourites out yet again by winning at 3/1 in the 16:50 Handicap Hurdle.

Chester Horse Racing Speed Ratings – 6 May 2015

Wednesday 6 May will see seven races hosted at Chester Racecourse. Notable jockeys in attendance will be Kieran Fallon, Jamie Spencer, and the renowned Frankie Dettori. On what is expected to be a cloudy day, the going should be good to soft. Today’s daily speed figures from Chester come via Sky Sports.

The 15:10 Betway Chester Cup is the standout race of the day. Trainers and jockeys will compete to claim the lion’s share of the £120,000 prize fund earmarked for the race. However, one notable name not competing is Frankie Dettori.

Jamie Spencer is riding a quick prospect in the 97-rated Angel Gabrial, and also looks good with a number one seeding. Towards the middle of the pack Edge of Sanity and Quick Jack are rated 100 and 101, respectively. Although rated quickest at 104, Lady Kashaan is starting seeded third from last.

Arsenal Beat Hull City 3-1 in Premier League

Any faint hope of Arsenal winning the Premier League was extinguished with Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday. Nevertheless, that disappointing result did not stop Arsenal from notching up yet another victory. The Gunners easily overcame an uninspired Hull City to secure a 3-1 result, in the football results from yesterday (Monday 4 May).

The excellent Alexis Sánchez opened the scoring for Arsenal with a goal after 28 minutes. Aaron Ramsey scored just five minutes later to give them a 2-0 lead. That was then increased to 3-0 with another goal from Sánchez after 46 minutes.

Arsenal dominated 68% of possession against Hull, which allowed for them to control the game with relative comfort. However, Hull managed to claim a consolation goal from Stephen Quinn after 56 minutes. That 3-1 result has moved Arsenal level with Man City on 70 points, but the Gunners have a game in hand.
