After the 16:20 Prince of Wales Stakes, the next most important race for day two of Royal Ascot 2015 is the 17:00 Royal Hunt Cup. Open to horses three and older, this year’s race has attracted a packed field of 30 entrants. The going is likely to be good (good to firm in places) for this hotly contested race.
In looking through the latest free horse racing naps from Sky Sports, it would appear that there are a couple of interesting options. On the back of three-straight wins, Speculative Bid has been earmarked as an 8/1 favourite and will be ridden by Jamie Spencer.
From the three 10/1 prospects just behind, Spark Plug looks the most appealing after winning and coming second in its last two races. For an outside prospect, Dark Emerald has won two and finished second three times in its past seven. Dark Emerald is available at 20/1.
